PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hygrochromic/thermochromic composition and a hygrochromic/thermochromic indicator that are useful for detecting heat and humidity conditions and capable of checking for the progress and completion of sterilization treatment according to the extent of a color change.SOLUTION: There is provided a hygrochromic/thermochromic composition containing a bismuth compound, a sulfur compound, a binder and an organic solvent, which is characterized in further containing hydroxyl carboxylic acid.
