OIL DUCT

Disclosed is an oil duct which is provided with a vertically-extending outer pipe, a vertically-extending inner pipe, and a seal for providing sealing between the outer pipe and the inner pipe. The inner pipe moves vertically with respect to the outer pipe together with the crosshead in a crosshead diesel engine. Oil flows into a space inside the outer pipe above the seal inside the outer pipe. The inner pipe includes an upper-side section which is positioned inside the outer pipe above the seal when the crosshead is in the bottom dead centre position, and a lower-side section which is positioned below the seal when the crosshead is in the top dead centre position. The lower-side section is connected to an oil flow passage provided in the crosshead. The top end of the upper-side section is closed. An opening is formed in the side wall of the upper-side section.
