PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image coinciding with output length without needing image processing for adding a background color image created separately even though original length is shorter than the output length.SOLUTION: A composite machine 1 includes an ADF 4 for carrying an original sheet M to a reading position X2, an image reading section 3 for reading an image at the reading position, an original pressing member 30 arranged oppositely to the image reading section across the reading position, and a control section 2. The control section 2 executes original reading processing for reading an original image on the original sheet passing through the reading position with the image reading section, and member reading processing for reading an image on an opposite surface of the original pressing member with the image reading section as long as a time corresponding to difference between the original length and the output length by continuing from the end point of time of the reading processing in the case of determining that the original length of the original sheet M is shorter than the output length. |
