PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store dump data in a reliable way.SOLUTION: The storage system includes a plurality of control devices for controlling input/output of data to/from a storage device for storing data. Each of the control devices has an interface section for accepting a command concerning input/output of data to/from the storage device from an information processing device, and an arithmetic processing section for receiving the command from the interface section and executing the command. Each arithmetic processing section, when requested to execute storage processing of dump data of an interface section with malfunction, stores the dump data sucked from the interface section in a storage section. When the time required for storage processing exceeds the time limit, the arithmetic processing section compresses the dump data to be stored in the storage section and stores the dump data in the storage section until a prescribed remaining time is reached, and stores the dump data in the storage section without compression after the prescribed remaining time is reached. |
