PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller for a system in which a continuous overcurrent, a momentary overcurrent, and a semi-short circuit current occur.SOLUTION: A power controller 3 includes: a semiconductor switch 11; a driving circuit 12 that drives the semiconductor switch 11; a current sensor 14 that detects an output current Iout; and a current monitor/control circuit 13 that controls the semiconductor switch 11 on the basis of the output current Iout. The current monitor/control circuit 13 turns off the semiconductor switch 11 when a state, in which the output current Iout is equal to or larger than a current threshold value Idet_th, continues over a dead time Tdead1; and turns off the semiconductor switch 11 when a state, in which the output current Iout is equal to or larger than a threshold value Ilim_th that is larger than the threshold value Idet_th, continues over a dead time Tdead2 that is shorter than the dead time Tdead1. |
