PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet alignment device, capable of accumulating sheets in a correct attitude in a correct processing position without causing positional shifting of loaded sheets in width aligning a sheet carried in a tray from a transport path while moving it sideways in the direction orthogonal to the sheet discharge.SOLUTION: In this invention, the alignment position means positioning of sheets different in size with reference to a preset center line or coinciding of the sheets in the sheet width direction with reference to right or left side line in positioning the sheets on a predetermined stage (a tray, a path guide or the like).In this invention, a processing tray in which a sheet is carried from a transport path is provided with a pair of right and left alignment members and a shift means for moving the alignment members from a preset standby position to an operating position, and the shift means causes the right and left alignment members to be different in the alignment operation according to a deviation in the direction orthogonal to the transport of a sheet carried in the tray. |
