PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headbox that can feed pulp slurry from a storage unit to a papermaking wire mesh in a uniform state without deviation, and to provide a papermaking apparatus including the headbox.SOLUTION: The headbox 11 includes a storage unit 36 for storing pulp slurry. An extrusion member 66 for extruding the pulp slurry in the storage unit 36 to a papermaking wire mesh 71 is installed near the upper portion of an overflow-side side wall 43 of the pulp slurry in the storage unit 36. The extrusion member 66 has a structure which approaches/separates from relative to the overflow-side side wall 43 in such a manner that it expands/contracts an overflow path formed between the extrusion member 66 and the overflow-side side wall 43. |
