<p>A device and a method for measuring the length of electrode rods of an AC electric furnace are provided. The device for measuring the length of an electrode rod of an AC electric furnace includes a length measuring module which measures the length of each electrode rod inserted into the inside of the AC electric furnace; and an warning output module which outputs a warning if the measured length of one of the electrode rods is less than the length necessary for performing an arcing task of one cycle, thereby increasing work efficiency by measuring the length of the electrode rods.
