The decoupling sheet 10, used as an underlay to support ceramic tiles or stone coverings, comprises at least two layers, a bottom film-like layer 12 and a top support layer 11 comprising of an open-pore, water resistant, non-deformable foam material having apertures 13, extending through the foam, distributed over its surface. The bottom layer may have a fine perforation or it may comprise a waterproof material, which may comprise paper, furthermore it may have a sheet of fleece on both sides. The foam layer may comprise polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene or polyurethane and may be applied to one side of the bottom layer in a single operation as the foam is extruded. |
