PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately correct a curved material to be treated, by appropriately conveying the curved material to be treated, even in the case where the material to be treated is curved, when conveying the long material to be treated in a direction crossing a length direction and performing heating treatment thereon by means of a walking beam.SOLUTION: When conveying a long material W to be treated which is led into a furnace 10 successively on a fixed beam 20 from a lead-in part to a lead-out part by means of a walking beam 30, a recess 32 is provided for causing at least the walking beam 30 to hold the material to be treated. A recess 32a at a side of the lead-in part where the material to be treated is heated, is widened in a conveying direction and a recess 32b at a side of the lead-out part where the heated material to be treated is heated to a uniform temperature as a whole and held, is formed in a wavy groove shape. |
