PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller that can detect an abnormality state of a power storage device without requiring any separate device of hardware construction.SOLUTION: When a power storage device mounted in a vehicle is externally charged with power supplied from an external power source, a control device for the power storage device executes each of first SOC estimation processing of calculating first SOC based on an inter-terminal voltage of the power storage device and second SOC estimation processing of calculating second SOC based on a current integration value to the power storage device to calculate a first variation rate between the first SOC and the second SOC when SOC of the power storage device is calculated, and also calculates a second variation rate between a present full-charge capacity based on the external charging and a previous full-charge capacity before the external charging. When the second variation rate is less than a second predetermined value under the state that it is determined that the first variation rate exceeds a first predetermined value, it is determined that the power storage device is under an abnormal state. |
