PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the wall ventilation construction and space member of a building capable of reducing construction man-hours in the case of forming a ventilation layer between a wall surface material and a heat insulation material.SOLUTION: An outer wall section 11 of a building 10 includes: an outer wall surface material 12; and a plate-shaped in-wall heat insulation material 14A disposed at the back side, and a ventilation layer 16 is formed between the outer wall surface material 12 and the in-wall heat insulation material 14A. A spacer member 30 is attached to the in-wall heat insulation material 14A so as to be partially disposed between the outer wall surface material 12 and the in-wall heat insulation member 14A to form the ventilation layer 16. The spacer member 30 includes a cutting blade section 32 configured so as to be inserted from the ventilation layer 16 side into the in-wall heat insulation material 14A with a pointed end 35 having an acute tip as a front end, and the cutting blade section 32 is inserted into the in-wall heat insulation material 14A such that the spacer member 30 is attached to the in-wall heat insulation material 14A.
