PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel in which stability in counting signals of a pulse plate is secured and the flexibility of focus stroke is increased within a limited space.SOLUTION: The lens barrel includes: a lead screw 35a driven to rotate by a focus motor 35; a pulse plate 41 which is provided at a root portion in the focus motor 35 side of the lead screw 35a and rotates integrally with the lead screw 35a; a photo-interrupter holder 36 for holding a photo-interrupter 43 for detecting signals of the pulse plate 41; a rack 37 screwed with the lead screw 35a and moving forward/backward in the direction of the optical axis of an imaging optical system along with the rotation of the lead screw 35a; and a fourth group holder 14 which holds a fourth group lens 14L, and is engaged with the rack 37 to move forward/backward in the direction of the optical axis. When the fourth group holder 14 is moved into the focus motor 35 side, the pulse plate 41 and the fourth group holder 14 or the fourth group lens 14L overlap each other as viewed from a direction orthogonal to the optical axis. |
