PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclotron capable of reducing the heat transfer area of a support member while appropriately supporting a superconducting coil even in a case where quenching occurs.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a cyclotron 1 including superconducting coils 8, 9 disposed in a vacuum vessel 3 and a refrigerator 6 cooling the superconducting coils 8, 9. The cyclotron includes: tension-type support members 11, 12 installed in the vacuum vessel 3, and supporting the superconducting coils 8, 9 in the vacuum vessel 3; and support members 13, 14 for quenching fixed to one of the superconducting coils 8, 9 and the vacuum vessel 3 and forming a predetermined gap S with the other thereof. |
