PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to locate a trouble spot in the propagation path of a plurality of cells obtained by dividing a data block.SOLUTION: A communication device includes: a division circuit for dividing a data block received from a network into a plurality of cells; an assembly circuit for assembling the data block from a plurality of cells; a plurality of processing circuits disposed on the propagation path of a plurality of cells between the division circuit and the assembly circuit and used to execute prescribed processing on the plurality of cells received from the propagation path; and a control circuit included in the assembly circuit or independent from the assembly circuit. At least two of the division circuit, the assembly circuit and the plurality of processing circuits store, in the cell concerned, the result of error check calculation performed on at least one of the plurality of cells, and the control circuit determines whether there is disagreement between the plurality of calculation results stored in the cells. |
