PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve print quality by stabilizing the quantity of heat which is applied from a fixing belt to a printing medium.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes a fixing part that fixes a developer image on a printing medium, and control means for controlling the fixing part. The fixing part includes a rotatable rotating member, a rotatable pressure member arranged in contact with the rotating member to pressurize the printing medium held together with the rotating member, a heating part for heating the rotating member, and temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of an inner peripheral surface of the rotating member. The control means includes: a distance calculation part that calculates the amount of rotation of the rotating member; and a temperature control part that controls the heating part on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature detection means and controls the temperature of the rotating member to be the target temperature. The temperature control part acquires a temperature just before starting of rotation of the rotating member from the temperature detection means, to set the target temperature according to the temperature just before starting of rotation and the amount of rotation calculated by the distance calculation part. |
