PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device for a vehicle capable of shortening a setting time of an operation characteristic of an electromagnetic valve.SOLUTION: The brake control device for a vehicle is applied to a brake control device including an electromagnetic valve 531 for controlling flow of brake fluid between a master cylinder and a wheel cylinder. The brake control device includes: valve opening power acquisition means 6(61) for acquiring valve opening power being input power when the electromagnetic valve is opened while changing the input power to a valve opening side as time passes after changing the input power so as to close the electromagnetic valve; and operation characteristic setting means 6(62) for setting an operation characteristic of the electromagnetic valve on the basis of the valve opening power acquired by the valve opening acquisition means. The valve opening power acquisition means 6(61) changes the input power to a valve closing side or the valve opening side of the electromagnetic valve by changing a rate in a unit time larger than that before the electromagnetic valve is opened in accordance with the acquisition of the valve opening power.
