The present invention provides a push rod for a brake of a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention manufactures the push rod by a forging method, but the push rod is formed by cutting a part, which is not punched, after fixing grooves are formed at once by a half-punching method, thereby precisely forming the fixing grooves. Especially, the purpose of the present invention is to provide the push rod for a brake of a vehicle and the manufacturing method thereof which can minimize the leaked amount of working fluid because the fixing grooves are circumferentially formed on the center of the part to form the bottom of a head part similar to the protrusions of a cylinder on which the push rod is mounted. To achieve the purpose, the manufacturing method of the push rod for a brake of a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a first step of repairing a material; a second step of longitudinally forming a thread forming hole from one end of the material through at least one forging process; a third step of integrally forming the head part in the other end of the material through at least one forging process, wherein the head part has the wider diameter than a shaft part having the thread forming hole; a fourth step of forging the fixing grooves at predetermined intervals on the edge of the head part in a direction heading from the shaft part to the head part, and half-punching the fixing grooves deeper than the thickness of a finished product, but shallower than the thickness of the head part; and a fifth step of forming the finished product by cutting the upper part of the head part at the predetermined thickness so that the fixing grooves can be exposed to the outside. |
