PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine having a lid opening/closing detection device which is cheap and highly safe.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: an upper frame body 35 having a clothes input opening 12 substantially at the central part; an operation panel 27 disposed at the upper frame body 35; a control device 30 provided in the operation panel 27; a lid 28 provided in such a manner that the clothes input opening 12 is openable/closable; a lid metal plate 26 provided at the lid 28; and a magnet 25 positioned at the lower part of the lid metal plate 26 and provided in the operation panel 27. The control device 30 has a magnetic sensor 40 which detects magnetism of the magnet 25 via the lid metal plate 26, and a metal plate 32 disposed between the magnet 25 and the magnetic sensor 40. When the lid 28 is in a closed state, the metal plate 32 forms a magnetic circuit among the magnet 25, the lid metal plate 26 and the magnetic sensor 40. Thereby, a washing machine is provided which is cheap and which shows high safety. |
