<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that applies a distribution control system without increasing costs, and improves high-speed operation and safety of restoration from power-saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, each CPU stores a portion of information which is necessary for initialization in a non-volatile memory thereof during transition to power-saving mode, and issues a request to an upper layer CPU to store any other information, and each CPU restarts by using information stored in the non-volatile memory thereof during restart, and when connection with the other CPU is completed, provides storage data requested from the upper layer CPU to the CPU. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
