PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing sintered ore for safely manufacturing the sintered ore having high strength and high quality with a high yield in a lower suction type sintering machine, and the sintering machine. SOLUTION: The sintering machine includes: a material supply device for charging a sintering material including powder ore and a charcoal material on a pallet 8 circulated and moved to form a charge layer 9; an ignition furnace 10 for igniting the charcoal material of the charge layer 9; a window box 11 arranged below the pallet 8; and a gaseous fuel supply device 15 arranged on the downstream side of the ignition furnace 10, blowing out gaseous fuel in the atmosphere above the charge layer 9 and mixing the gaseous fuel with air to form diluent gaseous fuel with a combustion lower limit concentration or less. The gaseous fuel supply device 15 includes: a plurality of gaseous fuel supply pipe arrangements disposed within a gas supply hood 16 and supplying the gaseous fuel; a concentration abnormality detection part 52 arranged within the gas supply hood 16 and detecting a concentration abnormality of the diluent gaseous fuel; and an agitating mechanism 51 for agitating the diluent gaseous fuel within the gas supply hood based on the concentration abnormality detected by the concentration abnormality detection part 52.
