PURPOSE: A compressor load controlling module of an LNG transport ship and a controlling method using the same are provided to expand an operation available area on a pressure ratio-flow rate graph by increasing a surge margin. CONSTITUTION: A compressor load controlling module of an LNG transport ship comprises a compressor(100), an IGV(Inlet Guide Vane)(200), and a compressor load controller(300). The IGV is mounted on the inlet of the compressor for controlling the intake of fuel gas. The compressor load controller is electrically connected with the IGV and a driving motor(110) of the compressor in order to drive the IGV in a low flow rate area and to control the RPM of the driving motor in high flow rate area. The control of the RPM reduces the normal driving RPM by 50-99% in the 30-100% area of a design point. |
