摘要 A noxious gas reduction device for a diesel engine and an emulsion fuel supply method for a diesel engine are provided to effectively reduce noxious gas by controlling the composition of emulsion fuel in accordance with the ability of the catalyst of a diesel particulate filter. A noxious gas reduction device(10) for a diesel engine(50) includes an emulsion supply unit(100) for supplying emulsion fuel to the diesel engine; a diesel particulate filter(200) arranged on an exhaust line of the diesel engine; and an emulsion controller(300) connected to the emulsion supply unit and the diesel particulate filter. The emulsion supply unit includes a water tank(110), a fuel tank(120), and an emulsifier tank(130); a mixing unit(140) for storing emulsion fuel obtained by mixing water, fuel and an emulsifier; a fuel supply line(L150) serving as a fuel path between the mixing unit and the diesel engine; and a fuel return line(L170) for guiding the residual emulsion fuel bypassed between the mixing unit and a combustion chamber of the diesel engine to the mixing unit. The emulsion controller is arranged to adjust the composition of the emulsion fuel on the basis of the physical properties of the emulsion fuel in the exhaust line of the diesel engine and the difference between emulsion fuel passing through the fuel supply line and the fuel return line.
