<p>According to the invention, the two condyles (8) of the femoral element (3) each have, at least starting from the zone (E) of this element, with which the patellar element (4) is in contact when the prosthesis is in the position of maximum extension, and at least as far as the zone (F) of this same element, with which the patellar element (4) is in contact when the prosthesis is in the position of maximum flexion, - in transverse section and at least on their inner flanks, a constant convex outer profile, - and in longitudinal section a convex curvature of constant radius (R2) and with its centre (C2) coincident with the centre of the ligament connections on the femur, while the lateral grooves of the patellar element (4) each have in transverse section a curvature equal to that of the condyles, and in longitudinal section a concave profile matching the inner flanks of the condyles. <IMAGE></p> |
