The present invention relates to an identity carrier(Subscriber Identifier) configured for interaction with a telematic unit for subscriber identification in the mobile telephone network. The identity carrier comprises a chip (2) which has a configuration capable of being personalised and being connected to a subscription at a telecommunications operator, a support bearing (4) the chip (2), and connecting means (3) permanently connected to the chip's connection points to render them connectable. The identity carrier is distinguished in that the support is arranged to enclose the chip and that the connecting means are arranged to extend through said enclosure to connectable locations outside the support. A method for production of such an identity carrier and the latter's use in a telematic unit as well as a telematic unit are also covered by the present invention. |
