The present invention relates to a media processing device, a media processing method, and a financial machine using the same. The media processing device according to an embodiment includes: an identification number recognizing module which recognizes an identification number of media; a memory in which conditions about management object media are stored; and a control unit which determines whether the media is a management object or not in real time or after finishing a trade by comparing the identification number of the media which is recognized in the identification number recognizing module with the conditions about the management object media stored in the memory. The financial machine according to an embodiment includes: a media entrance unit through which media is able to enter and exit; the media processing device which is able to determine whether the media is a management object or not; a reject box which stores media which is determined as the management object media in the media processing device; and a media storage box which stores media which is determined as normal media in the media processing device. The media processing device determines whether the media is a management object or not in real time during a trade or after finishing the trade by a comparison between the identification number of the media and information about the stored management object media. The media processing method according to the embodiment includes: a first step for recognizing the identification number of media; a second step for determining whether the identification number of the recognized media satisfies conditions about the identification number of the management object media or not; and a third step for storing information about the identification number of the media which is determined to satisfy the conditions about the identification number of the management object media.
