The present invention relates to a gantry type machine tool system for metalwork. The gantry type machine tool system comprises: a support column made of reinforced concrete or metal material and supporting each element to enable a machine tool system to operate smoothly; a guide rail constructed at an upper portion of the support column and configured to move horizontally to machining the top surface of a workpiece; a plurality of cross rails combined to the guide rail at constant intervals to be able to slide, and in which a three-axes machining device is installed to process the top surface of the workpiece in X, Y, and Z axes; a five-axes machining device installed at an inner side of the support column to process lateral sides of the workpiece in A and C axes; an integrated control unit integrally controlling the cross rails, the three-axes machining device, the five-axes machining device, and a pallet for moving the workpiece, and controlling the machine tool system generally; and a pallet guiding member formed at an inner surface of the support column, controlling a position of the pallet, which is inserted by a control of the integrated control unit, to be fixed, the pallet to move stably, and enabling precise machining of the workpiece.
