<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for recycling of liquid crystal orientation solution. <P>SOLUTION: A method for recycling liquid crystal orientation solution that is provided in the invention includes a step for providing a waste orientation solution of LCD. The waste orientation solution contains at least one of: (a) polyimide or a precursor thereof; (b) a first solvent; (c) an additive agent; and (d) a metal ion and water. Azeotropic distillation is applied to the orientation solution after adding a second solvent, for removing a water content. After that, the waste orientation solution is filtrated with a filter material. An absorption agent contains high-purity aluminum oxide or high-purity alumina silicate.
