The machine (1) has a rotor comprising a shaft. A pulley (14) is mounted on the shaft. A casing is provided for placing a stator (3), where the casing comprises a casing body (2). The casing body includes a receiving unit (17) for receiving fastenings e.g. screws, on the casing of two flasks (6, 7). An intermediate tubular skirt carries one of the flasks. The pulley is arranged on a side of the flask opposite to the stator, where the stator is located inside the tubular skirt. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electric machine.
