The method involves providing a strip (2) for sealing foam, where the strip is arranged with a film (3) that comprises an adhesive (4) on one of its faces. A cap (5) is made by association of a seam (9) with two coating blanks (6). The adhesive is placed on a side of a heel (7). The adhesive is allowed to be activated by temperature released by expansion foam. A padding (1) including a cushioning foam block (8) is unmolded such that the cap and the strip are molded together. An independent claim is also included for a padding.
