METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING PROGRESSION OF GLAUCOMA OPTIC NEUROPATHY IN PATIENTS WITH PRIMARY OPEN ANGLE GLAUCOMA

The method for diagnosing the progression of glaucoma optic neuropathy in the patients with primary open angle glaucoma comprises the interpretation of the tomograms of the disk of optic nerve obtained in Heidelberg retinal tomography (HRT) or laser polarymeter (GDxVCC) pre- and postoperatively and after laser treatment. The layer-by-layer analysis of the stereometric parameters of the disk of optic nerve is provided with calculation of the absolute differences between the preoperative values and the values obtained in 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months following the treatment at p<0.05 (the significance of the difference as compared with preoperative value).
