The invention relates to the field of welding and can be used in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and other industries for manufacture of various bimetallic parts and structural elements on the base of copper or copper alloys of steel. Disclosed is a method of electroslag surfacing steel with copper and its alloys, wherein the temperature of a slag bath is maintained in the range above the melting point of the added metal but below the melting temperature of steel and steel is heated before surfacing to the temperature of 1200- using salt fluxes, wherein the surfacing is carried out in two stages, in the first stage the process of deposition of the intermediate layer of predetermined thickness is conducted using the flux consisting of 80-90% of CaF, and 10-20% of NaAlF(by weight) and then are created the conditions for crystallization of deposited intermediate metal layer, by increasing the heat removal through the cooling units with steel temperature control of temperature at 1000-, followed by the second stage, at which the surfacing process is carried out using the flux consisting of 20-30% of CaF, and 70-80% of NaAlF(by weight) while maintaining the temperature of steel at 900-. Using the proposed method enables manufacturing of products with large bimetallic deposited layer thickness with 2 ... wide transition zone and minimum chemical and structural heterogeneity, and minimum content of the glandular component in the weld metal, which significantly improves operation characteristics of bimetallic product. |
