In implementation of the method of unwinding and winding the power cord the device is used for unwinding and winding the cord. The device comprises an electric motor and two drive links. The first link represents the drum. The second link is the control element. The control element engages the cord at a distance from the drum. The electric motor is connected to the control element through the slip clutch and one-way rotation clutch. The motor is actuated by the control element through the slip clutch. The control element can be freely moved in the opposite direction.
