A method for the protection of tool for cutting workpieces against resonance includes measurement of frequency of forced vibrations of tool. At increase of frequency of forced vibrations the stressed state of tool is changed, at that the limiting ratio of the frequencies of forced vibrations to natural vibrations is determined by formula:&sgr;=R+m-1.0,wherein R– resonance value of the ratio of frequencies of forced vibrations to natural vibrations of tool at non-linearity of elastic characteristics and presence of damping;i – number of degrees of freedom of the system, or the number of natural vibrations of the tool;m – limiting ratio of the frequencies of forced and natural vibrations of tool at linear elastic characteristics,and at decrease of frequency of forced vibrations the limiting ratio of frequencies of forced and natural vibrations is provided with the relation:&OHgr;=R+n-1.0,wherein n – limiting ratio of the frequencies of forced and natural vibrations of tool at linear elastic characteristics. |
