PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound thin film solar cell including a compound semiconductor layer that is formed using a nanoparticle application and firing method without causing deterioration in manufacturing throughput, has a film thickness sufficient for absorbing sunlight, and inhibits generation of cracks.SOLUTION: A compound thin film solar cell includes: a substrate 11; and a first electrode 12, a compound semiconductor layer 13 and a second electrode 16 which are disposed on the substrate 11, in the order. The first electrode 12 has a recessed part 12a. The compound semiconductor layer 13 has a first compound semiconductor film 13A disposed in the recessed part 12a. |
