PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development capable of suppressing a reduction of image density down to a value lower than a desired value, the occurrence of image defects such as fogging, and a reduction in image quality when image forming is performed for a long time.SOLUTION: A toner for magnetic one-component development contains at least a binder resin that is a polyester resin, magnetic powder, and a charge control resin. A ratio (%) of the area of the charge control resin present on the surface of toner particles to the area of the toner particles on an electron microscope image is in a predetermined range corresponding to particle diameters of the toner particles.
