Battery charger for dictation machine with storage battery

A battery powered dictaphone machine can be inserted into the battery charger. This has connections for the power supply and also connections for control and data handling from the dictaphone. This allows for communication with external equipment, such as a computer, to proceed while the charging takes place. The contacts in the charger may in the form of a contact comb. The headset connector on the dictating machine may be used for a control signal to turn off the loudspeaker.
