PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating a capable travel distance achieved by remaining energy in a vehicle having any drive source, such as a motor, an engine, and so on, and running while saving energy.SOLUTION: A capable travel distance Da of a vehicle having a remaining energy amount El and an average travel speed vab and running while saving energy is estimated with the equation: Da=El/{(R/Rs)×Es} (where, Es is a consumption energy amount per a unit travel distance when the vehicle runs in a standard travel condition with a travel speed vs and a travel resistance Rs, and R is a travel resistance of the vehicle the capable travel distance Da of which should be estimated). |
