The present invention relates to a spindle motor and a hard disk drive including the same. The spindle motor includes a shaft, a sleeve which rotationally supports the shaft by fluid dynamic pressure, a holder which is formed on the outside of the sleeve and is partially made of magnetic materials, a stator core which is installed on the outer side of the holder, and a base member which includes a mounting unit which upwardly protrudes in an axial direction. Wherein, the mounting unit is fixed to the holder. |
