The invention relates to a composition for the treatment and prophylaxis of bacterial infections of the skin, containing bacteriocin AS-48 combined with lysozyme. More concretely, the invention relates to compositions containing active substances dissolved in extracts suitable for applications targeting Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus, in a stabilised form in a pharmaceutically acceptable formulation.
