PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hollow polymer particles that are unlikely to produce an aggregate even in contact with alcohol and that, when applied, have excellent adhesion to a coated surface, and to provide an aqueous dispersion thereof and a production process thereof.SOLUTION: There are provided hollow polymer particles (X) that are obtainable by copolymerizing an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid ester monomer, and an aromatic vinyl monomer, and that have an acid value of at least 50 mmol/100 g. The hollow polymer particles (X) are preferably particles in which resin (Y) having an acid value of at least 50 mmol/100 g is grafted to their outer layers. |
