The present invention relates to an exhaust-gas purification system for purifying exhaust-gas flows from diesel engines, which exhaust-gas purification system comprises a diesel oxidation catalytic converter component (3), which is particularly stable with regard to ageing, upstream of a catalytic converter component for the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides (5) and downstream of a diesel particle filter (2). The exhaust-gas purification system preferably comprises a further diesel oxidation catalytic converter component (1) upstream of the diesel particle filter (2), and an injection nozzle (4) for ammonia, or for a compound which splits to form ammonia, between the components (3) and (5). The present invention also relates to a method for the purification of exhaust-gas flows from diesel engines, wherein the exhaust-gas flow is conducted through an exhaust-gas purification system according to the invention.
