To provide a porous polypropylene film which is suppressed in increase of the separator resistance in cases where the porous polypropylene film is provided with a functional layer, which imparts or improves properties such as heat resistance and adhesion to an electrode. The present invention is a porous polypropylene film which is mainly composed of a polypropylene resin, and which is characterized in that the separator resistance (R1 (Omega)) of the porous polypropylene film and the separator resistance (R2 (Omega)) thereof after applying a simulated coating liquid that is composed of a functional polymer and an organic solvent onto the porous polypropylene film and drying the simulated coating liquid thereon satisfy formula (1).
