Provided are a method, device, and mobile terminal for controlling an application interface by means of a gesture, comprising: a terminal browser obtains a pre-set gesture inputted into a screen for generating a control point; the control point is generated according to the pre-set gesture inputted into the screen, the control point being associated with at least one pre-set area on the screen; the terminal browser obtains an operation gesture inputted into the screen targeted for the control point, and generates according to the operation gesture an application interface corresponding to the pre-set area where the control point is. The present invention surpasses the traditional interface operation mode, and enables gesture interface-control without occupying viewable space on the screen, thereby making the layout of mobile terminals freer.
