The device has printing cylinder (6), pressure cylinder (4) having clamping channel (12), and rubber blanket cylinder (5). The sheet held by gripper systems (9) is conveyed in nip formed between pressure cylinder and blanket cylinder. The distance between rotary axes of pressure cylinder and blanket cylinder of printing unit in printing process is lesser than that in printing unit in non-printing process while pressure cylinder is fixable in angular position. An independent claim is included for method for operating device for guiding sheet.
