A navigation apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. The navigation apparatus for a vehicle generates local area information on the basis of information about current position of the vehicle or a destination of the vehicle, and determines 3D effect and background sound about guide voice of the navigation on the basis of the generated local area information.
