PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance system of a wire electric discharge machine capable of providing useful information about necessity of maintenance and enabling the maintenance of the wire electric discharge machine by an adequate maintenance, and to provide a maintenance method used for the same, and further to provide a wire electric discharge machine. SOLUTION: The maintenance system of the wire electric discharge machine has a plurality of the wire electric discharge machines 1 each including an automatic wire connection device 3, a recording part 5 for wire connection operation data which records the wire connection operation data including a place where an error of a wire connection operation is caused and the number of retries where the wire connection operations are retried to the error, and a data output part 6 for outputting the wire connection operation data recorded in the recording part 5 for the wire connection operation data; a determination part 14 for determining the necessity of the maintenance about each place to allow a wire to pass through based on comparison result of the number of the retries of the wire connection data with a reference value about the number of the retries; and a display part 12 for displaying the result of determination by the determination part 14.
