Device for distinguishing between rail vehicle wheels passing and other influences of rail contacts

The device passes the signal voltages at a metering point via a high pass (F21T) and a low pass (F11T) filter with non-intersecting corner frequencies to separate the signal voltages from two rail contacts (S1,S2). The separated signal voltages are each fed to two filters with high- and low-pass characteristics, whose corner frequencies are defined by the response values from one or other rail contact. The signals at the filter outputs are evaluated at least w.r.t. their amplitudes.
