<p>The expansion tool (1) has a tool housing (2), an actuating assembly with an expanding mandrel (30), a multi-piece expanding body (22) that is expanded by the expanding mandrel, and a sleeve, which surrounds the expanding body and is fastened to the tool housing. The expanding body has a beveled step such that the expansion tool has two different expansion areas with different distances between the expanding body and the sleeve acting as a calibrating sleeve (10). The calibrating sleeve is replaceably arranged on the tool housing. An independent claim is included for a method for expanding the end of the pipe, particularly a multi-layer composite pipe or an installation pipe made of metal.</p> |
