<p>In order to overcome the problems that earlier methods have experienced, a method for producing terephthalic acid is proposed, comprising
- reacting paraxylene and oxygen in at least one air-based paraxylene oxidation stirred reactor in the presence of at least one catalyst, and
- adding, in particular injecting, at least one additional or auxiliary oxygen stream to the reactor.</p> |
